Magical Monday

I’m filling in for Kate again.  Hmmm… I wonder if this means I’ve earned my own fairy wings?! In all seriousness, Kate promises to bring her sparkle back to this column next week!

Magical Mondays are all about being grateful for the big and little things in our lives. Just by thinking about what we have to be thankful for we start to feel in better spirits – more positive overall.

So here are some of the things I’m grateful for, feel free to add yours in the comments:

*Went for a walk in the woods with my little family this past weekend and it was so wonderful!

*My husband got some good news last week and I couldn’t be happier for him.

*It’s True Confessions week here at CTWM and I can’t wait to read what our bloggers write!!

*My close pal Julia gave me a very thoughtful birthday present this weekend – a beautiful lotus flower necklace (lotus flowers are my fave) and some really pretty beaded bobby pins.

*My 19-month-old has started saying “huggin” instead of “hug.” It is the cutest thing. She also walks around the house saying “Oh goodness!” which makes me smile.

*Speaking of words, I absolutely love hearing my little girl say new words. Sometimes she completely surprises me with the words she actually knows!

*My parents are moving to Florida at the end of the month (they live in CT now) and while I’m sad that they are moving so far away, I love hearing about how their new house is coming along (they are having one built).

*It’s amazing how on some mornings I can wake up not in the best mood but as soon as I hear the babbling starting from my daughter’s room I snap out of it and smile. What a gift!

*I made a bunch of yummy meals last night that I’m hoping last me the week so I don’t have to cook again ’til the weekend (fingers crossed!).

*I had a great girls’ night out on Friday with two of my pals and enjoyed sushi, martinis and some great girl chat.

*I recently made some hard decisions so that I could take some stuff off my plate and it feels good to be honest with myself about how much time I really have to commit to extra activities.

*My coffee this morning is totally yummy!

So my fellow working mamas, what are you grateful for today??

  1. Thanks for reminding us of rembering gratitude. I spent Saturday afternoon with our son in the backyard sledding and we took him to Disnay on Ice yesterday. The kid was grinning from ear to ear and clapping at everything.
